The Clergy Corner as taken from the 6/21/26 bulletin:![]()
In this week’s Gospel Jesus encourages his disciples to be fearless in their mission. He tells them not to be afraid of those who oppose them, reminding them that the truth will eventually come to light. This passage highlights the importance of speaking openly about our faith, even when facing challenges.![]()
Jesus reassures us that even the smallest details of our lives, like the number of hairs on our heads, are known to God. This shows how deeply God cares for each of us. When we understand this, it gives us the courage to share our beliefs without fear of judgment or persecution.![]()
He emphasizes the need for loyalty to Him. In verse 32, Jesus states that those who acknowledge Him before others will be acknowledged before God. This underscores the significance of our relationship with Christ and the importance of standing firm in our faith. It reminds us that being a disciple means being open about our beliefs, even when it’s difficult.![]()
Additionally, these verses highlight the reality of suffering and opposition. Jesus doesn’t promise an easy path; instead, He prepares His disciples for challenges. This can be comforting, as it assures us that struggles are part of the journey and that we are not alone in facing them.![]()
Ultimately, this passage invites us to trust in God’s protection and to boldly share our faith. By doing so, we participate in our mission of spreading the Gospel. Reflecting on these verses encourages us to embrace our identity as Christians and to confidently declare our faith in all aspects of our lives.![]()
As we think about this passage, consider how we can acknowledge Christ in our daily interactions.![]()
