Sacrament of Penance:
During Lent “The Light is ON for you!” Each Wednesday evening during Lent (beginning February 21st and concluding on March 20th), our priest will be available for Confessions from 7:00-8:00 pm in the church. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will also be exposed during that time. Please consider spending some time with the Lord. MASS ETIQUETTE
Considerations and practices for Mass
- FAST -Do not eat any food an hour before Mass to highlight our hunger for the Eucharist. Only water is allowed.
- COME EARLY– Allow 10-15 minutes of meditation before the mass.
- DO NOT EAT- You’ve come for the body and blood of Christ; they are the only things to be consumed.
- DRESS PROPERLY -Dress properly out of respect, honor, and reverence for the real presence of Our Lord.
- NO PHONES -Turn your mobile phones off and stay focused.
- GENUFLECT- Kneel on your right knee in the direction of the tabernacle before sitting.
- PARTICIPATE– Sing, respond, listen, and pray with your community.
- REFLECT– Consider your blessings and failings from the week.
- THINK OF OTHERS- Avoid conversation or keep it to a low whisper. Show reverence for the moment and those who are praying.
- BE STILL– Don’t be in a hurry. Enjoy and feel God’s presence and thank Him for His graces.
